Spring Cleaning 2010

I believe that every domain name has a home and a purpose. In a perfect world, every name would resolve to a relevant website, and gave the user access to products and services that pertain to that name and keyword, but this is no perfect world.

All of the names that I own were purchased with at least a decent idea of what it could become, and what it could provide my business whether that be a product website, parking revenue, sale to an end user, or in some cases a word or phrase that pertains to my personal & business interests.

Looking over my portfolio recently, I have come to realize that it has become unrealistic that I will ever get around to developing everything I want to develop, so I have decided to find a home for each of my names, and make that my goal for 2010.

Since it’s a little late for a New Year’s Resolution, I will call it Spring Cleaning, though I am sure it will take me well beyond the Spring months.

The first step is to seperate my domain names into two groups.

Group one consists of the names that I am currently using, or have concrete plans for. The second group are the rest of the names that I own. These are the domains that I am looking to find a home for.

Next, I have broken these domains down into seperate lists.

Since I now have a good roadmap laid out for my current domain assets, I can focus on my new goals and begin working on achieving my ultimate goal… To make my mark on the internet while making some money, growing my business, and above all… keeping it fun & enjoyable!

Now I need to figure out what to do with all the domains I have yet to acquire throughout the comming year, and where they might fit in my plan. I guess, at the very least, I have the groundwork started for Spring cleaning 2011!

The Web as I envisaged it, we have not seen it yet. The future is still so much bigger than the past.
